Who will be the first Premier League manager to be sacked in 2018/19?
|
Whoever makes a bad start will obviously be in danger, but can't see any obvious contenders.

Silva for sure. In an unsavoury happening at the Everton training ground he spits the dummy because Doris the tea lady only puts two sugars in his tea instead of his preferred three. Results deteriorate rapidly after this upsetting incident with Everton languishing just one point above the drop zone. Sam Allardyce to be airlifted in to steady the ship once again and greeted like a hero by the famously fickle Everton 'support'.

I think he probably is as well, but I don't think he's necessarily immune to the repercussions of a poor start to the season, whereas those I wrote before would probably be quite bulletproof even under those circumstances.

If he isn't given full control of transfer activity Pelligrini could be the first to jump ship. When does he actually hit the ground running?

Dyche is probably the most likely to be poached by a bigger club.
Might be dressed up as a sacking.

His is the only name I could spell correctly.
Anyone I’m gonna add whoever gets the Chelsea job to my list. Hopefully they have an abysmal season & Roman chucks it in.

I hope it's Dick Emery after a scandal when someone films him making religious, racial and transgender stereotyping gags on camera.

And of course the Watford manager. Who was the last one to do 2 seasons?

Is there a market at the moment ? I presume Conte is the last sacking of last season rather than the first of the next!
The situation at Leicester does seem to be bubbling. Ideally Mahrez goes and they fuck up the rebuild. Hughes seems to be one of those classics of last seasons hero getting a contract then sacked when they struggle again. Can’t see Wagner getting sacked even if they were relegated but would love to see Cardiff struggling and Warnock moaning. And then getting the bullet.

It's really hard to tell until you can see what sort of start everyone makes.
Puel, Silva, Hughes, Garcia and possibly Howe if he has a bad start are the most likely.
If we lose our first 5 on the bounce and look shit it could easily be Pellegrini. Likewise Emery could be out of the door quickly if Arsenal flop and the players don't like his training methods and tactics, which I gather are rather different to Wenger's. Conte or whoever else is in charge of Chelsea is always in the crosshairs.
The only truly safe managers are probably Klopp, Guardiola and Pochettino if he's still at the scum. Maybe Benitez
